VISION, MISSION, and CORE VALUES
“Fishers of Men” is FCC’s VISION--- to seek and save the lost, obeying the command of Jesus Christ who said “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” (Matthew 28:19, 20)
As its MISSION, FCC declares “Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God! He alone is Lord and Savior and the Church belongs to Him.” To that end, First Christian Church believes in
A loving unity. FCC seeks to be one with all who follow Jesus Christ.
Restoring Biblical practices. FCC makes best attempts to follow Biblical practices: baptism is by immersion, communion is served every Lord’s Day, its spiritual leaders are called Elders, the preaching centers on Jesus Christ, and prayers are in the Name of Christ. Even the name ‘First Christian Church’ is an attempt to imitate the earlier disciples who were called Christians first at Antioch.
Study and education. FCC emphasizes education and study of the Word of God, the Holy Bible, in order to come to knowledge of what God instructs and commands all mankind to do.
Praise and worship. FCC desires to love and serve God wholeheartedly and to glorify Him with musical instruments, singing, praises, prayers, and worship.
Growth. FCC strives to grow numerically as Christ commissioned His disciples to do and to mature spiritually—“Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, now that you have tasted that the Lord is good.” (I Peter 2: 2,3)
